About the Conference Center
The Florida Sea Base Conference and Retreat Center (FSB CRC) now has two locations in the Florida Keys. Our primary facility is located in Islamorada, FL approximately half way between Miami and Key West. Islamorada is known as the sport fishing capital of the world and home to North America's only living coral reef. Within a short drive of Sea Base are attractions like Johnny Morrison's World Wide Sportsman (where Ernest Hemmingway's fishing boat is on display), the Dolphin Research Center, Fossil Reef State Park, Theatre of the Sea, and Holiday Isle Beach Resort where you can sit back and enjoy live entertainment most every night. Only 74 short miles down the road is historic Key West, the southernmost point of the continental United States.
Since its inception, the Florida Sea Base mission has been underwater exploration for Boy Scouts around the world. As a result, the FSB CRC has some of the best diving and snorkeling equipment in the business, and a fleet of top-notch vessels. Our three largest vessels, the BSA Tarpon, BSA Scoutmaster, and the BSA Explorer will accommodate groups from 10-46 people each. These vessels are utilized for snorkel trips, island tours and sunset cruises. The FSB CRC also offers eleven 25ft Dusky boats. Each of these vessels will accommodate 8 passengers. The FSB CRC also has 6 kayaks available for afternoon paddles around the bay or to go catch that perfect sunset.
